... a spiralling turret out of the chateau and on to the streets of Amboise for some lunch. Met up with Trace and we lunched at Bigot on the recommendation of Alex. Thanks Alex it was absolutely delicious. We had the vegetable quiche with salad and the most decadent hot chocolate. Of course they are renowned chololatiers so had to buy some "take away" chocolate....just had to! wandered around Amboise and down to the river before jumping on the mini bus again to Chambord ...

... war part of the nations treasures found refuge here, including the Mona Lisa. The Chateau kennels still have 70 odd hunting dogs present for hunting. From here we drove on to Blois to have a look at it's castle and old town but didn't bother to enter the castle as one a day is enough these days. ... chef making exoctic cakes and pastries. We sampled some with coffee and the are incredible. In moderation.

We are back now at Allee Paul Dukas where Sophie is endeavouring to feed and get Robin to sleep while Stephane is hovering having prepared dinner. Sophie has been very particular choosing her partner having grown up with a proficeint cook for a father she now has Stephane!!
