Made all our connections, with an hour break in Tours, so we went out for a short walk. From what we did see, the best place was the railway station, which was very ornate.

Magret du canard (duck breast) for me and the boys and 'une piece de Boucher' (a piece of meat from the butcher!) for Andy which turned out to be an excellent steak thankfully. ...

... large and small. We saw a grebe with a juicy fish hanging out it's mouth, giant white egrets at a distance and a massive muskrat swimming right in front of us.
Once back home the boys had a chilly dip in the pool which I gave a miss, still feeling rather delicate from the tummy bug.
