... birds and squirrels above the doorways, and again in the library, where the doors were framed with insanely detailed woodcuttings of trees and leaves in which you could spot mice, lizards, frogs, so very many birds… and oh yes, there were books there too. I think.

... these days. It's a bit hidden behind the Ianto shrine. And if you don't know who that is, there's even a handy plaque on site. I wonder how many people miss the smallprint and actually walk away thinking Ianto Jones is a Cardiff child saviour.

A bit more walking after that, it seems the thing to do when close to the sea. Called it an early night, and even got some reading done. I might just get the hang of this vacation thing.

Tried to make Potato & Leek soup, not by best effort but edible, no real tools like blender or sieve, or a proper masher.; Tonight did a stir fry, as we wanted some decent veggies, but had to use two pots as nothing was big enough, no wok or decent size frypan. Their idea of vegetables here is chips & peas or a jacket potato & butter, nothing else.

... exchanges with Aussies.
After lunch we decided to drive back to Merthyr Tydfil & walk around some of the town. There were some nice old buildings there.
Clem & Lloyd have now fixed the clothes dryer, so we can now wash & dry our clothes without having washing hanging all over the house to dry, another big yay.
It now depends on the weather, where our next adventure will be tomorrow.
