Woke up to blue skies but still freezing temps. There had been more snow through the night but only a light covering on the car. Checked the I-80 status on the lobby PC which said ( thankfully ) that it was open. Hastily gobbled our hot brekky in order to get on the road before they decided to close it again. Departed Dallas at 7:30 and arrived Burlington, CO at 7:00. 711 mi. Taking the OK/KS route to CO was not bad at all, as was interstate all the way. Not going thru all the small towns was not nearly as tiring. In scenic Burlington (ha), we found the no-tel motel, Sloan's Motel. Was basic, but fine. The tower were several stories high and the last two stories you had to climb by ladder to get to othe top.
