... in between the shacks of the slum community, I noticed a number of children hat had gathered under some shade seeking shelter from the heat of the sun. These children where just like any other children you would find among the streets of Washington, DC, New York, Los Angeles, and Vancouver. Well..that's not completely true statement. I should have said, "...almost like any other children."
While having the pleasure of their enthusiastic smiles and overly jubilant ...
Phetchaburi, Thailand laiadevic... and you had to be careful with all the people that you didn't end up on the edge, where it's easy to fall into the water. We got some local ice cream and there were some places to sing karaoke. That night Elle, Casey and I couldn't fall asleep. The company was doing karaoke outside until midnight and we were just giggling like little girls, practicing our Golem imitations and pretending to be tigers.
On Monday we left the resort and drove to Nakhom Panom. At a golf resort there ...
... away refusing to pay the highly inflated tourist price, too tired of hearing "mai dai" to try and argue with our work permits. A bit frustrated, we started a somewhat aimless walk across town to find one of the better known temples, Tony having given up on the full tour when we couldn't get the info, much to my relief. We eventually found Wat Mahathat (creative name, I know), a rather unimpressive little temple, crawling with ...
Phetchaburi, Thailand disoriented... shop on the stairsteppy concrete edges of the canal, others sell their wares from those long, narrow boats - which are otherwise jammed with international tourists. Maybe I'm just in a cranky mood but I have zero interest in paying for a boat ride up and down a tiny canal, crowded amid dozens of other international travelers out to get That Unique Thailand Experience. But put some of that homecooked Thai cuisine in front of me and ...

Phetchaburi, Thailand tinateodor... because some of the monkeys are really good at grabbing you through the bars. Some of them even recognise new volunteers and will go out of their way to scare that person for their first few days! We repeated the same jobs in the afternoon, and during my free time in between jobs I read lots of the information and job manuals in the volunteer house to get a better understanding of how everything works here. In the evening I went along with most of the other ...

We arrived nice and early and made it quickly to our boat. It was obvious that Tong knew the people at the market very well. The people at the boat dock ...
Bangkok, Thailand mnasf... museums, big cities, veggie restaurants, cooking classes, temple visits, inexpensive shopping, hiking, Full Moon Party on Koh Phagnan, massages, night markets, floating markets and etc. Yay holiday. I've been taking more pictures of the animals as it ends, so I'll include those here. I love the one of Kot lying down with his ball. He likes to throw it ...
