    ... halls were some foreign dignitaries would be presented a show from the Shaolinmonks and I had to perform too! And so it was that on saturday july 11th a wish came true and I had to perform in front of the Abbot and his guests. How does this work? "Always expect the unexpected?" Well it doesn't work and I will do what I always do; not expecting anything. So here I am floating still but thinking of the challenge ahead, living up to being part of the Shaolin family. ...

The teachers teaching with a stick inside Shaolin are clearly no monks but teachers at the many schools in "shaolin village".     ... came into use too! After that we all got to split into groups to practice different disciplines. I decided to do the rope as it looked pretty cool and the way he was swinging it over different parts of his body reminded me of majorettes. I really enjoyed it and learnt quite a bit! We said goodbye and went back to the guesthouse for dinner. In the evening master came back to practice with anyone else who wanted to practice some more. ...
