It takes just over 2 hours to walk to the end of the Island and back so I will have to save that for another day and instead wondered round the various gardens that make up the Island. ... lunch break before returning at 14:45 to teach again (with the exception of Thursday and Friday lunch times when I don't teach in the afternoons) the school bell goes at 16:20 when my day is complete and I can escape the mad house. So far it has been incredible to see how hospitable the Chinese have been, not just towards myself but towards all of us teachers. Bending over backwards to make sure we have everything that we need.

Hello,

Sorry this took a few days to write. I haven't really had any internet since I moved into my new apartment. Even now, I am making do with a temperamental internet cable. First thing to mention is that Changsha is one of the hottest places that I have ever been to. Not because of glaring sun but because of intense humidity. I effectively live in a mini rain forest but more on that later.
