... was transformed into a horror house and St Mark's Basilica had a merry go round next to it. I am not the biggest fan of theme parks but it was a brilliant afternoon. ... Even Susan (who offered to help with translation) couldn't sway him. All the work that I had put in became worthless within seconds. What did cheer me up though was that two thirds of what Monkey's route was what I had planned so at least that was some consolation.
