    ... the air and others just bubbled away and were used to cook quail eggs. I'm not sure if they would actually be eaten or if they were just for a photo op being repeatedly dunked into the boiling spring in their baskets by all of the Chinese and Japanese tourists. Our next stop was completely unscheduled. The rear tire developed a crazy bulge and would no doubt have blown had the driver not noticed. The spare was equally bald but without the bulge so we were all good and on our way ...

    ... most of Asia, apart from a few exceptions, the place could certainly use a Clean Up campaign, there was rubbish everywhere, such a shame. Our taxi was on time and we made good time till we hit the outskirts of Bangkok. Arrived at the Grand President at 9:30am. A$53 between the 2 of us for a 130km, 2.5 hour taxi ride, very cheap. Had to wait a while for the room but in the meantime our tour mates turned up. Great to see the familiar ...

    ... we head back to Bangkok on the bus - one chosen by me this time which takes 2 hours, and not the one chosen by someone else on the way down here which took over 5 hours. We have the dreaded dentist again and then head down to Kuala Lumpur to meet up with Mira and Chris for a few days of walking tours and then its off to Myanmar so long as we can find a bank to sell us US dollars, the only currency we are allowed to take into the country, and there are no ATMs there.
