Leaving Art & Thurza

After a lovely couple of days with Art & Thurza Comben when on Sunday the drive over from Christchurch was fine and sunny we found a Vintage Motor Cycle run from Britbits in Iford with a Wurzal lookalike group playing live and singing "Drink up thee Cider Garge", gorgeous and in beautiful weather we got to Crewkerne in time for a late lunch.

Monday Lona & Thurza were dropped off in Yeovil to shop while Art ...

The Naked Bus

Friday 16th May. In the Police Bar dressed as an Arab, Jim with his suitcase of t-shirts looking like a bedouin Rodney Trotter. Having spent hours at work harrassing my colleagues and anyone else I could think of to buy a passport, here we were, and I was ready for a drink. Luckily, I had 13 to get through to earn my t-shirt. I did it, and helped Jo out with some tomato juice, cognac and pickled eggs along the way. There weren't many in fancy ...

Oh I do like to be beside the seaside

... Handed in my ONP book and sat the test. Was happy to discover I passed 42/50 and I am now able to register as a nurse in the UK! I am so proud with how much I have acomplished in the last month. Treated myself to dinner at Pinochio's Italian, like the one back home in Randwick. Expenses: 85.60GBP lunch, dinner and souvenirs, including hoodie

Off to Switzerland

... This
would then compell us to continue by rail and other public transport
methods. We chose to go on a Great Rail Journey with the company of the
same name. Taking the Glacier Exprees package choice we set off for
Waterloo Station in London, from our local station at Yeovil Junction
early on a late June morning.

This is the story of that trip, its sights and its 'wonders' !!!

Seaman Training Days

... today and by the afternoon all caught the minibuses to the Marine Base in Poole for some live training with the Safety boat. Which I quite loved, being back in a pool, swimming and diving into the water. I was like a fish. Some of the girl though freaked a bit (well Davina) with the training and the jumping thread from the high board with the equipment. But finally everyone managed to do it. And I did it fast so that I could enjoy the swimming pool a bit more ...
