Southeast Asia...The Final Frontier

A travel blog entry by erinanded on Jul 05, 2015

... wide..no markings of any kind. There were endless stalls of machine shop type of spare parts, tools, equipment, bicycle tires and miscellaneous parts. I have no idea how we found what we were looking for.. But we got some cleaning supplies and a few basic kitchen items. It felt like the San Jose flea market crammed into the Whoz/Woz (that gigantic maze up towards Vacaville). I was definitely wanting Scottie to "Beam Me ...

The Trouble with Cambodia...

... brothel. Imagine! Men entering and leaving rooms with three attractive Cambodian girls. It was rather like being part of a soap opera. We were pleased to leave in any case.......!! Some had heard about what was going and in you can see the fear in their eyes. Seeing the faces of so many innocent people who were slaughtered was chilling. I was almost overwhelmed with emotion. In Building C there was an exhibition of the former cells and a vestige on the Pol Pot reign (the leader of the Khmer Rouge) reign. It was hard to read some of ...

Phnom Penh

A travel blog entry by mal626 on Apr 01, 2015

Today we had a sad goodbye to our amazing guide Douaxong who was with us for the whole week. He loves his country so much and showed us all the beautiful parts of it that I want to go back already. I really had no clue what to expect of Laos. It's not a normal travel destination to go to he really showed us all has to offer. We headed to the airport and boarded a plane that happened to be shared with the Vice President of Myanmar which was ...
