... taxi drivers hoping to find a customer. We ended up selecting a guy and his brother who took us on an impromptu tour of Nortern Hyderabad on the way to our apartment that had been rented. We saw a giant fish restaurant, cows in the street, a beautiful Buddhist statue in the lake (which is rare considering India is only 3% Buddhist), and other parts of the Indian landscape. ... it was the comfiest bus ever with your own personal TV screen and lots of leg room. The bus took around 6 hours and we spent ages queuing up to get through Singapore immigration. We eventually got through and made our way to our hotel. It was double the price of our most expensive place yet, but everywhere in Singapore was a lot more expensive.
We loved Malaysia and how every stop was so different and that everyone spoke English!
... the elderly and kids will struggle. You can stop along the way to catch your breath or to take pictures. It can be quite wet especially if it's been raining so be careful, it was damp when we were there on Saturday morning but were lucky that is stopped when we arrived and started again when we left on the train.
We ate at The Pavilion twice, 1st at a German restaurant 'Weissbrau' had a schnitzel which was huge and very nice and the hubby had a sausage ...
... did not improve so I decided to continue my trip to Kuala Lumpur, sure there are more places in the world to dive later. I took the ferry to the mainland and there a nightbus to Kuala Lumpur, which I almost missed because I was so focussed to find the cheapest ticket and by the time I decided which ticket to take, the lady just closed to door behind her to go home. Lucky for me she wanted to sell the ticket anyway. I arrived the next morning at 5 in Kuala Lumpur. Not ...
