Had an ok night, except for a spider crawling all over me,
but was till happy there was plentiful good strong coffee but the rest of the
breakfast pretty blah!

Got the 9.45, thankful the rain stopped for the 10 min walk
to the bus station, to Montevideo and changed for Carmelo. My plans for the

It is however for the most part extremely hot and sunny which is very strange because it makes it feel as if Christmas was ages ago and that it's not really the New Year! We have been here 3 days now and we have no luggage! The airlines messed ...

... and the bed bug bites (which are still raised and itchy). Before we go out, when only the management is in the office, we tell them about the bites, and they say they have an exterminator coming soon, who will look into it. We know this problem is a very difficult one for hotel management, so can’t get too uptight about it.

We go straight next door to Minga’s for the usual steak and salad, but it is not usual. The two circular ...
