After a 2 hour ferry and about 7 hours bus ride, with a very creepy guy following me around the ferry and the bus, I finally made it to Punta del Este. A little town which is very popular for the surf and nightlife.Apparently even Hollywood stars come here.
I was a wandering around in this beautiful town and didn't realize how time had passed. Just like that I've been walking for 6 hours along the ocean, stopping for tiramisu ice cream (I am addicted!) and seeing the lighthouse in ...

the beaches are wide sandy beaches the water was too cold for my liking but we are on holidays so who cares. we walked the main shopping area "gorlero" which is over priced but you can find the hidden treasures if you listen to the locals. we took our hire car and headed for the "puerto" and had lunch at a Chiveteria overlooking the marina.

Then we ...

Change of venue; a change of man?

... I stumbled onto a convenience store. Bar the usual goods of biscuits, tinned goods and drinks; there were fried goods. Unsure of what it was, I decided to ask but waited until a Police Officer concluded his buying needs. During this time I could feel his and the female shop keeper’s eyes on me. Did they think I was going to steal something? Did they think I was poor? His glance at me was remembered. It was a little to long and an almost constant side gaze. It mattered little as ...
