    ... girlie and continue the walk. They reach the end after another three suspension bridges. The return journey only takes 40 minutes to get back to the girls. A walk we highly recommend.     ... lunch & it turned out to be a really good decision! It was so much busier & there was more stuff happening. There was a food market too! Bern feels very new & all the buildings are almost identical & clean. Honestly didn't use my InterRail pass much because it's only valid on IR trains. Had to pay extra a couple of times on the RegioExpress trains to scenic places like Zermatt & Lauterbrunnen ...

    ... to Thuner See rang true. At the top of a hill the landscape opened out before me and down towards flat lands. Moments later, after a sharp right turn, I realised I was accelerating down the hill on the wrong side of the road! Thankfully there was no traffic either way, and back on the right side of the road the 3km downhill to Wattenwil passed in flash.

    ... home for the evening. We make a steady climb and arrive beating the Swiss time of 1+30 by a 5 minute margin. We seem to keep up with the uphill times pretty well but the downhill times just are not cutting it with the heavier packs. I think they time them with day packs, no packs, or steroidal old ladies! We manage to check in with no English spoken and she writes down the dinner time of 6:00 so we are set. We soon realize that there is no shower here so ...

    Rob Cowan came by and Sara's family visited for a weekend of checking out the local mountains, a broken collarbone of a friend Arul and Rob unfortunately missing his flight to Rome based on my recommended train (Easyjet have a luggage checkin one hour cutoff before the flight policy out of Geneva).
