We awoke to sunshine and after breakfast 'house keeping ' did some washing and cleaning. Whilst maintenance put the stickers on the lights to deflect the beam. The eadio is atlii picking up Radio 2 on the need we heard that it had bern -2 in Ireland and laughed at the thought if 'The Old Druid' complaining about global warming :) We walked into town to get some euros and a little shopping. Thanks all of you out there who have stuck with the blog so far, today the real adventure begins! We left Leicester, a small city, home of the National Space Center, at around 11 ish bound for Dover. Six hours later we arrived at the Port with it's white cliffs and castle. We bought our ticket and waited for the ferry, boarding was at 6,00pm, we should be in France by 8.00pm. We missed the riot. Apparently a number of Africans were injured in a riots on the night before we departed ..... attacked by the Albanians who have dominance in the lorry car park. Luckily we were up at Europe Cite .... which was unfortunately closed on that Sunday. The shopping opportunities are passing me by! Alas!

We crossed the Channel on Eurotunnel late afternoon after driving down 250 miles from Yorkshire. Got an earlier crossing than that which was booked and landed on French soil at 3:30 pm, or should I say, 4:30 pm local French time.
