    ... Madone.
    Lance used to use this to train on just before the TDF each year and judge whether he was in form to win.

    Hmm! I will keep a lookout for the US Postal team syringes at the start.

    We will then head off to Monaco and the beaches west of here for some sight seeing and a swim.
    Saturday we are off to the Pyranees.

    ... with no sand and giant rocks. We had a mini photo shoot with Raul, the Canasian who is actually a Canexican! So confusing. He got some great shots of us and the beach and the sunset so hopefully he will email them to me. After that we walked to dinner in Old Nice and ate at a half seafood half Italian restaurant. Got pizza again. Delicious and of course we walked and got some gelato. We leave for Spain tomorrow and I'm scared I'll never have gelato again. I can't imagine life without ...

    ... the harbour that was open for coffee and food. Shops don't seem to open before 10am around here. Who knows what time people start work?? Then with our bikes in tow, we took off to explore what we could of Monaco.

    Highlights included -

    1. Seeing a red ferrari
    2. Having my photo taken on the start line of the Monaco F1 track and pretending i was an F1 driver in about the only car i could probably afford in Monaco!

    ... or maybe it was the fact he was getting off a multi million pound yacht wearing a tshirt that said 'my life sucks'. ****.

    After a fantastic lunch in a much too expensive resteraunt we headed for a hotel that we had booked for the night. The last hotel of our trip.

    ... Bay on Sydney Harbour... Driving into the municipality of Monte Carlo (with its police force clearly on show at the entry point) the evidence of wealth went up to a whole new level. Every luxury brand seemed to be represented with a magnificent city centre shop front - Maserati, Rolls Royce, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Gucci etc. The streets and buildings looked very well maintained as though no expense had been spared.
