... in and out all over the place.

Menton is sensational with it's old town and beach with wonderful little restaurants that set-up on the beachfront boardwalk. Its quite entertaining watching the waiters run back and forth across the main coast road to get you food and drinks holding three or four plates of food and negotiating the streams of scooters ...

Monaco was not on holiday so we picked a perfect day to spend there. We got to walk the race track and reminisce about our F1 experience back in Singapore. We visited the Palace apartments, walked into the lobby of the casino and had a picnic. We bought a bottle of wine and bagette sandwiches, found a bench with a view and relaxed.

That night, back at our hostel, was anything but relaxing. ...

turn right, and stalled the car midway thru an intersection - all within
20 minutes of leaving the hotel. After that it was clear sailing along
    the freeway.

For awhile we headed south parallel with the Alps. We could just make out the snow capped peaks through the haze. Pity the air pollution was so bad, it would have made for a spectacular drive.

Soon we were driving along the ...
