Lance used to use this to train on just before the TDF each year and judge whether he was in form to win.

Hmm! I will keep a lookout for the US Postal team syringes at the start.

We will then head off to Monaco and the beaches west of here for some sight seeing and a swim.

... At the hostel we are told that our room is actually across a couple of streets so the kind French lady draws us a map with directions like 'past the fishes' and 'turn at the trees'. ... Bay on Sydney Harbour... Driving into the municipality of Monte Carlo (with its police force clearly on show at the entry point) the evidence of wealth went up to a whole new level.
