We are half way through our sunny break. We are still swimming with no one else in the pool. At the moment only 10 rooms out of 45 occupied. It's almost like having the resort to ourselves. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Not many speak much English. Sarah and Farah both girls from the Philippines have good English and help with translations. Farah took me to the shops on her motor bike to pick up some basic supplies. Yesterday we went on a boat excursion to the ...

... doesn't read that bit else I'll be doing my duty again at Swindon haha!!

When the game finished we finished our drinks (found our flip flops amongst the growing pile of footwear) and went back..not before stopping at 7/11 for our milk.

In Thailand it's customary for everyone to take their shoes off before entering any shops/bars/restaurants. I quite like it until you come to a dirty loo where you wish you had your flips on!!

Regrettably at that particular beach, the visibility wasn't great, but we still had a great day. We also grabbed an amazing roadside lunch at a little makeshift restaurant. After we'd had our fill of Ao Leuk and Sai Daeng beach, Hugo surprised us with a trip to the top of a mountain to enjoy beers at ...

... and get some rest. I agree, all that happened but I don’t know if it is all its hyped up to be, or at least this one in particular train. Now I can deal with bumping my head, or small twin beds, or loud noise, I mean come on we are traveling, but over 11 roaches in my 1st class cabin, not ok. If it were the jungle like week before, no problem. I guess I just expect some sort of cleanliness in modern transit systems, but for the price I paid about $30, I guess it ...

... took a boat tour of the island. We snorkeled at various points and got to go to Ko Naang Yuan, a small island near Ko Tao. We got sweaty walking up to a view point, and it looked very similar to Ko PhiPhi, but the beach inbetween the two hills was so narrow and white, and snorkeling on either side was terrific. I got so into watching the fishes that when I eventually looked up id swam from one side to the other!
