... are two islands here joined by a sandy causeway. It is a really lovely place and there is some quite pricy accommodation here and to be honest if we were paying al this money to stay on a private island, we wouldn't like being invaded by the swarms of people who arrive everyday by ferry, snorkel boat and taxi boat.

Nang Yuan had some great snorkel points and fairly shallow too. It was extremely hot here and unfortunately we did not ...

... booked one night's accommodation at a place called Nadapa which was in walking distance from the pier. We knew we were going to look around for a place to do our padi and we had heard most places provide accommodation if you go with them. When we arrived, we thought Nadapa was quite funky. ... note to self do not wear flip flops on slippery pier). The boat was modern and strangely all luggage was thrown right at the front of the boat so that all emergency exits were properly blocked. The boat was very fast but made a roller coaster motion the whole journey which was both enjoyable and a bit strange. Harriet slept most of the journey luckily (1.5hrs). Before we arrived in ko Tao we stopped at a local island to pick up literally about 200 Chinese ...

At the airport, we checked in our luggage and had a little stroll around, realizing that we would soon be boarding a plane homeward bounds. The two flights to Surat Thani were not too bad, as we got free snacks and coffee. Arriving in Surat Thani we reclaimed our bags and found a travel company to find out about transport to Koh Phangan. Finding a couple of different options we went for the cheapest and decided to sleep on the boat that night and so quickly jumped in a taxi to ...
