As we didn't want to take Frankie too high into the alps, we chose a campsite at Lausanne on Lake Geneva. It is known as Lac Leman by the locals. The first day we went to the lake to have a look. We had lunch in a meadow beside a group of cows adorned with bells a la the "Milka" adds from years ago. Whilst novel to begin with, the incessant clanging eventually got the better of us and we were glad to move on after filling ourselves with ham and cheese rolls. Our descent after lunch featured some pretty technical and rocky switchback laden single track - true alpine mountain ...

... a dive tank – not before we were able to swipe our watches for French fries and mayonnaise…when in Europe…don’t ask.

Again, differences are what I love about traveling. Even in a country as high tech as Switzerland, where you have a watch to open your locker, the dive tank looked like a temporary installation similar to something that came from Canadian Tire, complete with fish painted on the side – and would likely not ...
