We had originally thought we would take the ferry from Prince Rupert BC down to the Northern tip of Vancouver Island. But we decided to scrap that plan and head to Prince George, where we are now, and then onto Vernon BC. We have had problems at the different libraries updating the blog. This is the first time in a while that we have been successful. So, we are here until tomorrow at least, (Saturday) then off again. ...

With the snow melt all of the rivers are at high water marks so all of the falls are really rushing.We made another 200 miles today, nice and easy pulled off the road around 2:30 to camp in Purden Provincial Park. Sites are nicely space with heavy tree cover. Almost a rain forest environment.

Sunday 30 June

Caught train at 8am with full day travel to get to Prince George by evening. Trip made more pleasant by last minute upgrade to 'touring' class – giving access to the glass dome which made for a very scenic comfortable trip, with only three other travellers sharing the 24-seat dome compartment.
