... town has the cobbled streets and a lot of eateries, but certainly rely on tourism to sustain them. We've tried some different foods and deserts, and thankfully we've walked off of the extra calories (I hope anyway). Tomorrow we have a train adventure getting through the Alps to Interlakken Switzerland. We have 5 different trains between 0700 and 1500, a few have 4 minutes between switching trains (ie finding the train, platform number etc). Wish us luck that we don't miss any ...

... only pausing in speed as we approached small villages where the locals and the police are rabid about people speeding through their homes. We obliged by obeying the 30km speed limit and it gave us the opportunity to admire the beautifully kept buildings and gardens. As we approached Fussen the countryside rapidly changed from mostly flat and small rolling hills to towering mountains covered in Pine trees and rocky outcrops. We rounded a bend and the Ludwig ...

    Welcome to Austria

We left Italy on Friday and travelled across the Brenner Pass in to Austria. Leutasch is just north of Innsbruck and not far from the German border. Leutasch is beautiful. It is a valley at about 1000 metres altitude with pretty little villages dotted between meadows. Towering ...
