... more than a store. Newly designed in 2007 it is the biggest Swarovski shop in the world with a unique selection imbedded in a fiction starting at night with a starry sky and guiding you through dawn and sunrise into a dome of altering daylight.
Finally the Giant’s garden awaits you with a maze, an alpine garden and extraordinary objects, insights and ...

... rocky location such as this, is quite hard. Despite the modern building techniques, the construction process was difficult and complicated. Even though it was built rather quickly compared to other great castles, it was not built as rapidly as the founder of the castle - Ludwig II - had hoped.

... to the town of **** (lol). It took us a little over an hour to reach the train station at Garmish-Partenkirchen. We bought tickets and awaited to board our train for an adventure to Zugspitze, a mountain peak that goes by the tagline "Top of Germany". Not to be mistaken with the tagline for Jungfraujoch in Switzerland "Top of Europe". Zugspitz (nearly 3000m) is the main attraction on this route. However we purchased the "2 peaks" package and also ...

It's strange for me to say this, but it was too hot in the room to sleep! The central heating was on, even though it was only 13-14 degrees out. Around 1am, an hour after falling asleep straight after I wrote last nights blog, I woke up and opened the window. The hotel is situated right next to a solidly moving stream, feeding the many lakes falling away from St Moritz. The stream provided a rather relaxing white noise to fall asleep to and the window a good relief ...
