Chalet Time - Deeep clean!
... surface it's a lovely chalet but on closer inspection there are sooo many things broken & faulty. Lots of stains & marks all over the walls and carpets, it really does look quite shabby and not in good condition at all. We have a broken ceramic hob & an oven that on has 1 knob when we need 3. Going to take ALOT of work to make look good. Did an inventory for absolutely anything removeable, and Etat Des Lieux (conditions report) and a risk ...

After lunch ...

Taking a hike around Mont Blanc
... had given way to blue sky and billowing white clouds as we travelled by bus (free) to the village of Le Tour at the northern end of the Chamonix valley, to meet our guide and 12 companions. Our party was to consist of 6 Australians, 2 New Zealanders, 2 Flemish Belgians, 3 French Canadians, 1 French hiker and 2 French guides – 1 leader suitably equipped with a black beret and an encouraging way of talking about a “short hour” and a “good ...
