When we got off the train it was easy to find, so we joined the line of people carrying skis, sleds and dressed in snow gear, not many people wearing jeans like us! Leaving the refuge the next morning we passed a memorial to a half dozen US fliers who had died on the mountain nearby during WWII when their bomber crashed into the mountain. Some of their remains remained frozen in ice till the 1970's when they were returned to the US for burial.

A really steep uphill this morning that seemed to go on forever but was probably three and half ...
