... On ship for 5 hours stopping at all little amazing towns dropping of all the tourists at little ports on the way. Eventuality arrived at Peschiera at 7.45pm. Went straight to restaurant near our hotel feeling rather smelly and dirty but needed food and a drink first. Beautiful view looking over the lake with the moon shining over it. Had a great meal then off to hotel in the dark, had to turn on our bike lights as was really dark by now.

A morning shower (cos we could!) and straight back to the police station in Sondrio to sort out Lis' working holiday visa. It took a while, but she got it! Great success! We headed back towards Bormio and stopped at Tirano. After a quick lunch we went for a cruise on the bikes. It's warm today! We rode past many apple orchards (we may have taken a couple; for quality control purposes, of course!), vineyards, fig and nectarine trees, and up some very steep roads! ...

... lost some time we decided to take the short route which would save us about 5km. Down the road we found a little coffee stop right next to the cycle trail. Later we stopped again for lunch under some trees in a picnic area. The day was starting to warm up considerably. We have been following the river Adige all morning and will continue to do so untill we reach our destination ...

Early start this morning, walked round the corner to the rental car company and collected our Fiat 500 for our drive over the Stelvio pass. The little Fiat drives very well and raced along the autostrada at 110 with everyone else. We had about a 100km drive through the rich orchard area of the South Tirol to get to the pass. Lots of people heading towards the pass including plenty on motor cycles. At last we reach the start and begin the climb. The road is quite narrow in ...

... slightly bruised bum bones (they are still feeling it today!). It was a beautiful afternoon rewarded with a beer and an Aperol Spritz at the first place we could find with a loo! I love Europe, I really do but I would appreciate it if at the next Euro Summit they could talk about putting a few more free toilets around the joint! A few quick kilometres downhill, a few flies in the mouth, dirt on the shirt and phlegm in the eye (it's a long story) we arrived back at ...
