... In spite of the drizzle we managed to find our way from the huge train station across the river and a short two blocks to our hotel. So far so good. Our focus was to wander the old part of town along the river and get lost in the back streets. There were far less tourists than in Vienna which gave the city a more laid back feel. Heidiland Yesterday, we had a later start to the day as did the 3rd tour, to the Heidiland region which commenced at 11am and returned at 7pm. Our guide Marcello is a lovely older, slightly rounded Swiss gent and asked each one of us what our nationality was as we boarded. While Marcello is a tour guide now in his semi retirement, he did the mandatory military service as a young man and then completed his chef apprenticeship which was his main career for 45 years. Eldon had planned where we were staying this evening. It was only a one hour drive. It was, again a very nice hotel. We went down for dinner around 7:00. Eldon had pasta, and I had cod on polenta.
