It's raining this morning, so the temperature is higher. We started the day with a couple of blogs. On the lake there are a group of ducks, we took a few photos. We then drove into Gravedonna to buy a couple of essentials, just getting to the shops before they closed. Then we set off for the border with Switzerland. It wasn't long before we stopped to fill with diesel, checking with the cashier first that it had additive in it to protect ...

... some food. I sat out front and ate.

  • I found the city center afterwards which was really pretty lit up at night.
  • I looked around town for a couple of bars that the guy at the hostel had recommended. I found one but it was dead, the other I couldn't find.

    • The old town was really nice (very quiet as well)
    • I found a hill and followed the road up the side ...

There are some beautiful cliffs that are known to be popular "jumping off spots" for the suicidal. I wonder if the emphasis of everyone needing to live by this very high standard leaves some people feeling that they will never measure up, maybe even driving them to suicide. And I must admit, that ...

    Day 278

Things get a little confusing after Landquart. I follow what I think is a path to the next town, across the wide grassy valley, but no, it dead ends in a field. I backtrack and look for another way. I could just follow the road, but I've managed to avoid roads in all of Switzerand, so why start using them now? Instead I follow ...
