... the small frontage, the properties open up into gardens and pools in the Courtyard. We had a fantastic meal on the 1st night - we went Creole. Connor had Alligator, mummy had shrimps and grits (delicious but only to be tried once by our N Irish tastebuds!), daddy had beans and rice medley and Ollie and Ella... just good old fashioned chicken ! Fell into bed with full tummies and set off on foot in morning to explore market and shops. As recommended, visited Cafe Du Monde ...

... Square are artists, tarot card readers and jazz bands competing with each other. While Pip and Wayne went into the Cathedral on Jackson Square, I spent a lovely half hour watching the happenings around me and taking photos.

We stopped at Café du Monde, famous for its sugar-dusted beignets (square French donuts). These were yummy and worth fighting the crowds for a table.
