... She's going to Lou's house with Issy and Max is working. She wasn't too wrapped about hearing our croaky voices but we assured her we were OK. Just received 4 emails from Elizabeth Riley with a heap of photos of when we were in San Antonio eating ribs and also ones she sneaky took of us. They are lovely people. In the big house sons moved out of the main house at 15 years old into an adjoining building.

Girls were married at 12 – 13 years old to men often 20 years older

Had a mint julep - mint & lemonade – non alcoholic which was delicious and praline ice-cream - so good!!

... I found a seat and a clean table and sat down. An Asian waitress approached me. I looked around, all the waitresses were Asian.
