Went out for dinner other night John had found this restaurant (in restaurant book )/that did snitzels so caught correct bus to "Bavaria" bus driver knew it pointed us ...
... we were all pretty much ready for sleep. Before we left the restaurant, we picked the brains of the waiter for possible hikes to research for our following days activities. We got home, picked out 2-3 possible hike ideas then passed out for the night. We agreed to meet for breakfast at 7.30am then as a group decide a hike and off we went. ... we opted for a homemade meal in our fully equipped hotel room which consisted of steak and pasta, we then headed to the hot tub for evening drinks. At the risk of sounding like a couple of swingers the hot tub turned out to be an excellent place to meet some of the locals and get them to share some thoughts on where we should go next. ... course it didn't completely go to plan as it was overcast but we went up anyway! Luckily enough because the sun was out when we got there. Loggers Lake is just a short drive from out in Cheakamus. Short 4WD up the hill, in my van, to the last car park. Not sure how we made it up. ... overall was a reward for our consistent week. Alan continued to climb stronger throughout the week and I was amazed how well my body coped with the racing. The only day that we felt a bit flat was day 5 but we still managed a third placing. I felt quite strong today and was giving Al constant reminders to push it along which he duly obliged. He is over the moon with his achievement as he has never podium before since he is usually on the other side running the event. He ...
