We had a short day planned and wanted to be sure we didn't miss too much from the trail the day before after taking the bus. I had a couple of little mishaps, at our morning rest stop, I sat on a nettle, and then put my hand on it as I got up, so I've got a rash up my leg and another on my hand. Then later in the day we sat under a tree to wait for the others and I sat on some sap that has stained ...

... friends with all the members of our group, finding out about each other's families, jobs etc. communication is good despite the language difficulties. Dinner tonight was the best we've had so far, with mushroom risotto, slices of roast veal, with roasted potatoes and spinach, with Black Forest cake for dessert. Delicious. Alas as we are now in Italy, no cheese. Tomorrow we pass through Couremayeur, the biggest town till we get back to Chamonix. I'm dreaming of an ice cream and some ...
