        ... a lot in common with Hawaii I thought. Even though Saipan is US territory and some huge US battle ships are on standby in front of the island it has a great micronesian influence, which is different to the polynesian. 70 % of the people in Saipan are from the Philippines, the suppermarkets sell thousands of different noodle soups and other unidentifical fishy looking objects and last but not least, Whopa Guam Guam Style is everywhere "Whoop, Whoop".

This route is not a popular route and it is quite disastrous because TSA has to come on the airplane after every stop, so I had been asleep for an hour and the staff woke everyone up in Yap and asked everyone to get their baggage and move to the left side of the airplane. This took forever, then after that happened, they asked everyone to move to the right side, then finally asked us to move back to our normal ...

        Amidst the clutter and chaos of our beloved home, I write what will probably be our first and last entry from Saipan. The shippers come on Wednesday and phones and internet will be shut down that day. We leave at 3pm on Friday the 11th for Guam and then an overnight flight to Nadi, Fiji.

        We will settle down on tiny island called "Robinson Crusoe Island" for the duration of our time ...
