We left Khao Sok and travelled three hours in the minivan of death (who overtakes on a blind corner...really?!) to the beautiful beach resort town of Ao Nang in Krabi. It was a care of heading straight to the beach to nurse our shattered nerves. My exuberance for getting to the beach meant disaster for areas of my back not attended to with the sunscreen...yowee. Phukaew - pronounced Fuh-ka-yu Koh Lanta, Thailand - The cabinas/restaurant place we're staying is called Phukaew, and I swear that's what the maid said to me yesterday under her breath, when I asked for an extra towel.
