... Department. I was very chuffed when the Conservation Biologist identified my critter from the Blue Lagoon as a “Slipper Lobster” – and even more so, when she asked if she could quote me as a source! They are quite rare and she had never seen one! Most of the merrymakers were Belizean with a sprinkling of tourists and a few old Hippy, Baby-boomer desperates escaping the modern world. We observed the festivities with Jennifer, Richard, ...

We sheepishly thanked them for their help and asked to be dropped off a 15 minute walk from our cabin, just to save them a little extra time with us. Once we got home we made a bee line straight to the showers and transformed ourselves back to civilised human ...

Let's say yesterday was a somewhat of a loss secondary to an intestinal issue that has fortunately cleared (enough said about that). Today was St. Patrick's day and was not celebrated in Belize to our amazement. Beach day today thinking of the snow in Charlottesville (just for a moment). No threat of snow here. Tomorrow, we plan to visit the Mayan ruins if another two people sign ...
