    We were amazed how easy it was for us to find the correct platform,find the correct train ,find the correct coach and finally find our reserved seats. The train was spotless, leather seats and very spacious ( as one comes to expect travelling first class) ha ha- only on trains unfortunately .

    Left Palermo on the train. Uneventful thank heavens. It took us over an extra hour due to a medical emergency of one of the passengers.     ... We stop for a bite of lunch at a roadside restaurant, with cars and pedestrian going past no more than 30cm away. The cars even stop for the waiters to cross the road with trays of food and drink. A very nice lunch if a little expensive.
