... to recall the events of that day. The cockroach museum lightened things up for us- it was a quick, but memorable stop( wink, wink!). Our drive to Austin was full of exclamations-"Blue Bonnets!! Blue Bonnets on the right!!" The roadside was so colorful. Once in Austin, it was fried chicken at Lucy's- fun to sit out in the cool evening air with a tin bucket of fried chicken- and some FRIED deviled eggs. ... enjoying a wonderful meal. The Dallas Observer highly ranked the restaurant as one of the best places to eat in Dallas, but also one of the most expensive. ... times as we have been in that neighborhood, we had never been to the museum. It is fascinating and extremely well-done. Most museums I have seen have been about things that happened well before I was alive. It was most interesting to see this one and remember the day that JFK was assassinated. The displays are beautifully presented and they have wonderful artifacts, photos, and videos of interviews with eye witnesses.
