... Arkansas River was crossed and blue patches started to appear in front. The bumps and the forests both returned. As the cloud broke up and began to dissipate, we were able to increase our height to 4,500ft and it became a little smoother. We were able to make out the Ouachita River flowing into the Missouri River as we followed Hwy 30 to Texarkana. ... We only forgot one thing (so far), to make us go back to David’s house in the morning. Good reason to get a hotel 10 minutes from wherever you left from.

Tomorrow is the one big travel day; we're headed north to Lewisville to meet up with Julia and her granddaughter for breakfast before heading out through the Texas desert to Raton, NM, where we will stay the night before heading to Colorado.
