Left around noon and went over to the James Fennimore Cooper Art Museum. There we saw a wonderful Indian artifacts. Perhaps a little disappointed that they did not tell the story of James Fennimore Cooper and history of Cooperstown. Had a wonderful lunch at on the veranda which reminded me of Powerscourt outside of Dublin.
Next was a stop two thrift stores where we picked up a few little ...

On to Cooperstown. Stayed at Best Western. Cooperstown was a very quiet town in May. Their season official opens Memorial Day. We loved the quiet. Drove to downtown to scope out tomorrow's visit. Had a few beers at a local pub, I had wine..no wine opener..haha... Walked down to beautiful Otsego lake. Warm sunny weather.. Saw large statue of James Fennimore Cooper author of Drums along the Mohawk. Back to hotel, small snacks, ...
... can eat. I forgot what they had that day - maybe corn cakes - something smelled kind of good but didn't look that appealing. I had to give them credit for the effort though - it was humungous - doing things the old way. Only two buildings were closed - one being the pharmacy which might have interested Emma more since she works in one at home.
