Western Visayas, next stop in the Philippines and ending. This city has a culture and an ancient cathedral. As in every town its big old cathedral, called Jaro Cathedral has some typical dances, which is the festival called '' Ibajay festival 'point of culture and traditions of a small town, it's amazing getting to know their cultures and mainly traditions, ending with a cute country like the ...

... road again, heading for Dumaguette. I made it as far as Iloilo, capital of Panay. I got a room in an actual hotel. The formality feels odd after hostels and guesthouses. walked us around, he lead us through a little hole we had to crawl through and
then said our next challenge was to climb. I thought by climb he meant just a
couple of easy steps up… couldn't have been more wrong! He had us climbing up vertical
slippery rocks, once the first step was over which was easy enough ...

... of peoples blogs before arriving in the Philippines so as to get a ‘feel’ for the place so that I’m somewhat prepared. I had read about hotels charging in three hour slots, what they are used for obviously and that some are still ok to stay in. Its important to remember at this stage that I left Boracay I little under prepared, just wanting to get out of there. This is quite unlike me, who likes to have a solid understanding of the area and a ...
