Supposedly, W.C. Field once said, "Reminds me of my safari in Africa. Somebody forgot the corkscrew and for several days we had to live on nothing but food and water." Fortunately, the same cannot be said for a trip on KLM, especially in business class! Before you strapped yourself in, the steward was around with champagne or, if you preferred, a mimosa. ... Very tasty, with maple syrup. Since it's a fishing village, cod and chips were appropriate.
After lunch, which we had sitting on the steps of the fish shop, we meandered through the village stopping to look in shops and watch the fishing boats. Brilliant scenes and great weather.
On the way back to Amsterdam, we stopped at a "Clogs and Cheese" shop to see how the local Gouda cheeses were made, and a Clog demonstration. What on the surface seemed a bit ho ...

It was stil drizzling and now we were officially tired and ready to be anywhere. Both were a bit grump bumpy. We made it to the apartment and still have 45 minutes to wait. We found a park bench to sit at until we went met Igor, the person renting us the room.
