... I took the free ferry over to the Film Museum to see the current exhibition about legendary director Federico Fellini. And the National Maritime Museum is comprehensive and interesting and has a replica East Indiaman docked outside. (The real one sank on its maiden voyage in 1749.)
It was interesting to see inside one of the elegant manor houses, front door facing the canal and a pleasant courtyard behind.
... is a standard presentation. Our last dinner was an around the world meal where we could choose from the various continents. Overall we could not fault Holland America cruise line. ... outside urinals for men but none for women. The ladies didn't agree with this so they protested and protested and nothing was done. Well they decided to get a little more aggressive and over 100 women gathered on this one bridge; counted down from 5 and went #1! They said they would continue to do this everyday on one bridge a day until they got the urinals! Need less to say the lady's got there urinals! I thought that was quite comical and effective! ...
... the cafe down the street for drinks. We walked along the Amstel River and passed a few hookers-in-the-window as we went. I tried not to ogle, but pretty much failed. While I couldn't read anything on the menu, I'm fairly certain I had an excellent "house red wine."

I found out that there's not a ton to do in Amsterdam but really just take in the culture and wander through the streets. But even though there isn't a lot to do, 2 days didn't feel like enough.
