      My first day!

A travel blog entry by isabellemccabe on Apr 03, 2015

Yesterday was a long long day! Although it would have been longer and harder for everyone else as they had a crossing to contend with! After a lovely few days in devon visiting family I was finally on my way. After a while in the que to get on the ship, me and Beth who I had met previously on Facebook were told to help pack down all the shops as we are having a refit, it took us all day! We went ...

... to one of the areas around Hamburg to shop or run errands or just sit and people watch. My days are never the same, which is nice. Pretty much no matter what (if I'm at home or out in the city) I head back towards the school around 3pm. They played soccer for a while and then I prepared frozen pizzas and strawberries for dinner. Easy! They got into their PJ's by 7:25 like they promised and now it's TV time until bed. Let's hope they don't fight bedtime too much! I'll keep you posted though. :] Tschüß! -A. ...

... of flowers and some bread and heaps of fruits! The main reason why we decided to go is because I really wanted a plant for my room. It's pretty amazing the way that they sell things there. It's almost auctioneer style. I'll be attaching a video soon! :] I got, not only one, but two HUGE plants! One of them is as tall as I am. Pictures will be on here of those as well. We also got 10 packages of strawberries, some orchids, and some veggies. Very successful day! ...

Hamburg: A city full of Hamburgers

... tour. Our tour guide was Adrian, originally from Barcelona, who moved to Hamburg to study English at university. He was a really excellent guide and the tour was awesome! Starting at the Rathaus we got a brief history of Hamburg. I didn't know that it is a city state, so it has its own Parliament as well! The Rathaus was a really beautiful building with a big square out the front. Apparently the square used to be even bigger, but Hitler built buildings around it to make it smaller ...
