Biarritz, Aquitaine, France kramertownI don't really need to tell you what we did do I? Take one part playground, one part beach, and one part sunset and you have a Kramer day in Biarritz.
... Dispite the language barriers they had a lovely time exploring the basque country side. What did we do? Why go to the beach, of course!!
... the kids slept. Tom did a little surfing and another nice sunset was enjoyed during dinner.
... area was, much much better. We still sucked, really not as easy as we thought it would be, we tried for a good 3 hours, then bailed cause our arms we barely paddling at the end.

... meal institution - Farmor opened her presents which included a beautifully decorated by Evie photo album with pictures from our 11 weeks together. Sue was the inspiration behind the whole idea and Eva was clearly moved (it is hard to make a Swede cry!).
... our running list of lessons learned:
1) If you buy train tickets online, don't assume that the machines will work at the train station to print your tickets. (Learned the hard way.)
2) Don't travel with your bike on a train on the weekend.
3) If it sounds like you broke a spoke, you probably did. (Learned the hard way.)
4) Always ask about local bike routes and local maps.
5) When traveling via bicycle, always ask for directions, even if you think ...
... horarios.Eu sempre era a primeira a chegar e tinahmos sempre que ficar esperando pelos americanos! Isso tanto no dia do primeiro encontro com o host numa praça de Toulouse qdo ele nos levaria pra casa, como no dia seguinte qdo ele me daria carona ate o metro pra eu ir pra Albi;morri de medo de perder o trem, e acabei em cima da hora pq o host queria, claro, agradar a todos e os americanos pediram pra esperar!
Biarritz, Aquitaine, France blanchedubois... and decided to spend it on the beach. We have pretty much just taken it easy today and have the same planned for tomorrow before probably heading back to Pamplona for another night. After Pamplona, we are going to wander around southern France and hang out in the nice weather and beach resorts of the Riviera. Should be a nice change after the constant motion of the last three weeks(and last three days especially).
