... Alex, as we didn't know what he looked like, but he found us straight away and he walked us to our hotel. It was lucky he did as we would have never found it as it was tucked away in a residential area.

Funny how four days on a train in Siberia didn't seem particularly epic, guess that's how far I'd come in almost two years. Completely recalibrated my sense of time.

Four days in Moscow, then a succession of buses, trains and a boat and I was back in England and reunited with my family. Not something I had taken for granted and it was pretty emotional all round!
