... sea cultural experience. Also ran into lou from neighbours at the airport - random! Waiting for plane to phuket

330 - freak out//! thought i lost my luggage at the airport. Ended up finding it on a luggage cart on its own :s
Fllight was ok, but pretty hot. Smelling petrol on flight was also a bit disconcerting

Another Beautiful Island in Thailand

... Good way to finish the day.

The next day was supposed to be spent on another boat tour, but this time to Maya Bay (where the beach was filmed, but it was grey and cloudy, and it rained intermittently, so we decided to give it a miss until the next day. In the end we just spent an entire day in cafes and restaurants eating and blogging and researching our next destinations. It was actually kinda nice to have a day off I thought ...

Catch Up

... the river. Only a few of us did it but it felt so good. Afterwards we finished up with our canoes and went for two more stops.
We headed down to a fish temple where we got to feed some more fish. These fish were so intense because they were ferocious like phirana's lol. One of our classmates kept trying to catch one with his hat which was entertaining to watch. Afterwards we went to a monkey farm where we fed more monkeys. these monkeys were used for getting coconuts down ...

Phuket

The following day Victor was able to get a room in my hostel & we decided to go to Nai Harn Beach for the day. We both liked it more than Kata. We ate Pad Thai (you just have to when you're in Thailand) just off the beach under a palapa (are they palapas in Thailand or just in the Caribbean?). It was actually pretty noisy as it was the 4th day of an important celebration by the buddhist temple there. Nai Harn beach is actually owned by the Samnak Song Nai ...

Early start to hit the beach

Getting up early (what?) I leave and grab a taxi to Ao Nang where I can get yet another long-tail boat to Railly Beach. The taxi drive itself was stunning with rocks sticking out of the ground 100m high. It is very pretty and probably the most naturally beautiful place I have seem in Thailand so far. I arrive and get a boat. This all goes very smoothly until I am dropped off at the wrong beach and have to scramble over rocks and boulders for 20mins to get to Ton Sai ...

A Stripper Pole saved my life

... Pole. On a stripper's pole. Heh. Anyway, There was water everywhere, the boat was lurching so hard. Then suddenly the boat leaned very precariously to one side, the people that were sitting on the other side were thrown down from there seats, everyone else then tried to balance out the boat, I kept thinking that this dingy **** little boat was going to be my watery grave - on my birthday no less - but I held on to that strippers pole for dear life. When it seemed like it could have ...

... right at 200 THB. It turned out to be the best foot massage I've had so far. It was nice to relax after having to haul our packs this morning. We thought we would walk along the beach after the massage. There is a large limestone cliff at the end of the beach separating Ao Nang beach from Railay beach, which you can only get to by long tail boat. The water was pretty rough today, so there weren't any long tail boats ...

... to sell you souvenirs. They where a bit aggressive in their selling tactics and became quite annoying.

Lastly we where taken to a very secluded spot and the boat put out its anchor and we was allowed to go swimming/ snorkelling and also do some kayaking. This was turning into a nice day out.

Generally speaking I really enjoyed myself and glad that I did the tour, it was extremely professional run. Everything that was advertised you got. I would highly recommend doing the tour.
