Well woke up this morning and our hostess told us all ferries were cancelled...however we got an email saying that 2 pm may still go! Well we got to ferry terminal and they said still maybe...announcement to be made at 10am...went to see cR rental to explain situation as we may have needed car an extra day here and a day less over there...they were very obliging....just said come back when you know and we will sort it out....so ...

Ian and I struggled for ages to come up with a title for the Wellington post. Wellington boots...? Beef Wellingtons...? Wacky Wellington? In the end I came up with the great pun that you see before you now. It does rely quite heavily on the assumption that you're familiar with the expression "to have beef with" and know what a Beef Wellington is but you know, you can
always Google it. We had no beef with Wellington because it was great.

We have left the South Island and took the car ferry to Wellington on the North Island, the journey was stunning as you travel through the southlands and out to sea and we were lucky as it was very calm which is a rarity.

... We checked into our hotel and chose a lovely Bistro for dinner...close to our accommodation. It stopped raining half way through dinner, so we went for a stroll in town...it was so quiet, but quite a pretty city.
