... is made and distributed in Switzerland - not sure if I like knowing that Cheese lasts for a year or not, but it was still quite awesome bc we ate lunch here and everything was full of awesome cheese!

It has been a great start so far - our program has 33 students from all over and it has been fun getting to know everyone and seeing how University life differs in Europe from the U.S!

Miss you all! Auf Wiedersehen (Goodbye)

I realised that as this part of Switzerland is German speaking, so we had to change back to speaking German which is weird as this was the first language of our trip. ... head past the last village, following a quiet footpath up the valley as it gets narrower and steeper as daylight fades. There's one last town up ahead before the pass and I can see its lights not too far ahead. I figure I could try camping out, and if it gets colder that I can handle, I still have the option of hiking up to that town and checking into a ...

One thing I'm really excited about upon reaching Austria: reasonably priced food. Living off of family sized cans of ravioli and other discount items from the supermarket is getting pretty tiring. As soon as I cross the border, I find a Turkish doner shop and without hesitation, dive inside.

Sure enough. Doners are a the standard price of 3.50 Euros, rather than the 7-8 Euros they cost ...
