Well, I have never been somewhere as cold as Diepoldsau! Then again, it is on

We arrived in Lindau fron Strasbourg on Thursday. Lindau, the old town, is an island off the northeast shore of the Bodensee connected to the mainland by a bridge. We are staying right on the inner harbour and on a clear day can see Bergenz, Austria and the Swiss alps behind. This is where Germany, Austria and Switzerland all meet. Lindau is in Germany.

After a nice lunch at an outdoor café, we walked up to the Vaduz Castle. It is occupied by the Liechtenstein's Princely Family. No one can tour it because it is their residence, but you can gawk at them from outside of the castle walls! It was built in the twelfth century and expanded between 1613 and 1640.
