... here in Japan there are no GPs who refer you to specialist rather if you are having trouble with your skin, you go straight to the dermatologist. ... that we were feeling a little tired and under some time pressure, we paid for cablecar tickets and made our way to the platform.

Upon arriving, one of the attendants said that we could either take the cablecar (which would have been the adult thing to do) or the individual chairlift with no seatbelts and a net to catch you if you fell – no contest!

... for now. This was a fairly short trip through the top part of the island. We got some nice views of the sea and a sighting of the first suspension bridge we were due to cross. To get to each bridge involved a tough cycle up but done in a gentle spiral. This first bridge had a separate road for bikes so we were actually below the cars which was quite funny.
