... longest day so far at 57 miles.

Nothing much happened until just before lunch when Oskar took a small tumble scrapeing his knee again. Luckily he unclipped and fell mostly onto grass otherwise it could've been much worse.

We had lunch in Pieterburen next to an old windmill. Having stuffed ourselves we powered on only stopping briefly to get food and a couple spare chain links for my bike. ...

... mill and saw mill), church, old village and stopped at the Rostrup Gardens. This area is famous for its ham and smoked eel. There are eels in the lake. Back to the city centre for coffee and cake then back to Bremen on the 16:45 S3 train and to Horst's office. We went to Rewe supermarket to buy rolls and cut meats and cheeses. It's alongside a big lake area used for water sports, and has a nice ...

Arriving in the Netherlands

Arrived on time and bought a Dutch sim card for my phone. I'll be here for a while and lots of people to contact and it will be handy for transport apps to have a bit of data too. Then off to get a transport card for travelling on the trains and maybe buses too.

I found the right train with one change at Zwolle and then Rosa met me at Groningen train station.

It is great to be here and it is sunny and warm!
