... and were happy to chat with us and interact with us.<br><br>A couple of days after leaving Yankarri I start to become ill, with a fever, night sweats and general pain all over, is this the start of malaria.......The doctor on the trip says yes I have malaria, his portable blood test kit does not work properly so its off to the nearest hospital several days away in Cameroon........<br>

At this point in the trip I decided to leave the group for a couple of days to go to the dusty north**n *****ian town of Kano. So aft** a rath** late night I reluctantly checked out of the 5 Star Sh**aton Hotel to take on the local transport system for the journey.<br><br>It only took 5 hours to make it to Kano, most of the delay was due to the Police stop. ... As you can imagine we arrived in Kano as zombies but we made it. It wasn't all bad of course. In London during the layov**, Osa got to spend a few hours with h** friend Julia and I got to eat some fish & chips.
