... usual green paint act that should only be known to those who have seen it before. Horror painted in green is not a pretty sight. 10 more beers later, Horror collapsed in a heap, just before midnight. You should ask him whether he enjoyed himself or not. I continued chatting with some old hashers until the early hours of the morning.

We said farewell to the departing Townsville hashers and continued to party with the stayers, 15 beers later and ...
Townsville, Queensland, Australia joderekononhome... desperately to fix the problem and Jenny noticed a cloud shaped like a fish!)

The most amazing thing, and the highlight of all our diving in Oz, was on the second dive. Due to the strong currents at this site, we descended down a line to the stern of the wreck, in order not to drift away and miss the wreck altogether. As we reached the wreck, there was a huge Manta Ray, well over two metres wide, hanging around about a metre away from us! It just hovered there ...
Townsville, Queensland, Australia jenandtony... how to feed them from the rightside with your right hand. I headed back to the hostel. I met Edwina (from Newcastle) , Will (from Munich), Paul and Rebecca (from Glasgow). Rebecca showed me a cool few new dance moves to add to my roster (yeah right :)) I enjoyed hearing everyones stories, everyone was really nice. It would have been a good group but unfortunately only Will and I were on the Greyhound bus heading to Cairns tommorow.
Townsville, Queensland, Australia leehorscraft... dinner later but at 10pm we decided to go to bed with just alcohol in our system, we all had a great time and we found out that people from Tasmania can have fun as well.
With all the alcohol on board we slept pretty good because trains were passing within 20 meters of us and we hardly heared them.
Our last walk with the dogs was through the little township were we saw a meeting of old timers parked along the road , it is great to ...
Townsville, Queensland, Australia nachtweh... of my eye. And the sounds happened quite often because there are also tons of little (harmless, and adorable) lizards on the trails! If someone had been watching me closely they would have had a good laugh at my "death adder dance."

Thankfully, I did not see any death adders, or any other snakes for that matter. I did see an adorable baby koala in one of the (thousands of) eucalyptus trees! He must have been just old ...
Magnetic Island, Queensland, Australia cmukon... then"... I apologise for my previous impertinent comments.... and we decide to stay the day and night and not take the bus to Cairns at 2.30 in case I can recover some of my stuff and we head back to the bus station and wait...

And there they are. Electricity runs through me when they walk past me... I go straight to the Greyhound desk to tell them they are here but the guy at the desk already knows and has already phoned the police to give an exact description of the ...
Townsville, Queensland, Australia kikiblogtrot... edible garden strewn with moon rocks.

The moon rocks come from an area around Richmond where the fossilized remains of dinosaurs and inland sea inhabitants once roamed. A visit to Kronosaurus Korner cannot be missed, this is an exhibit of fossil-ed dinosaur remains found in the area and are still being found ( and you are encouraged to go out and search for yourself for more fossils).

After talking ...
Townsville, Queensland, Australia thepratts... fighting climate change would be to wipe out these oxygen consuming, CO2 creating wastes of space that are doing double damage by consuming Oxygen producing leaves. Some people say they are cute. Some people think Paris Hilton is attractive. Both are lazy, drunk, and unintelligent while having more than they deserve and giving nothing back. Plus they smell.
Magnetic Island, Queensland, Australia trizzyb... was getting the better of me so stuck to the pool after my earlier show of bravery! Queensland is certainly a beautiful part of the world, with maybe just magnetic island being my pick of places to visit in this part of the world, other than the great barrier reef of course! Our time in Oz is sadly running out, though this was a reminder (as if one was needed) what a beautiful country it is - and so incredibly full of life it is.
Magnetic Island, Queensland, Australia david-daisy... is apparently the oldest rainforest in the world, mainly because Australia as a land mass was 'cut loose' a hell of a long time ago, and it's remained intact since then, allowing it to develop without all the geological fun ...
