After being impressed with Sydney during my first two weeks abroad, I kept my enthusiasm in check on my way up to Brisbane. ... a bright pink van, haha! There was one other guy (Al) with us and he was from LA. It turned out he was going to Fraser Island at the same time as us, and he also ended up being in our room. Once we got settled in the hostel, I walked to the beach with Al, then left him to go look in the shops... I bought Lisa a Christmas present, and then went back and lay on the beach until I had to go back to the hostel for the Fraser Island informational meeting.
