Juin 1922. Le premier train siffla à la Gare d’Antsirabe le 15 Octobre
1923. On assiste alors à la naissance de la ligne T.A (Tananarive-Antsirabe)

Comme le train FIANA-Manakara, le train se faufile entre les maisons aux toits de tôles, impossible de sortir la tête du wagon , tellement les habitations sont proches..

Pas de 1ère classe mais le train est plein mais pas bondé ...

Pangalanes Lakes and Canal

... Coast. We cross a couple of large lakes and then enter the canal, which soon widens out into a lake again. There is thick vegetation on both sides of the canal. We see a couple of villages (very small, basic straw and wood houses) and come across the occasional man in a canoe. The boat trip takes a bit over an hour before we arrive at the beach of our next hotel: Bushhouse.

This has to be one of the more amazing places I have ever stayed at. It's a series ...

... was evidenced by the burnt out town hall. When the president was overthrown, all the local mayors were too - democracy rules! (not). In July there was no sense of danger - just a lot of confusion and people having to make it up as they go along - like the impact of no tourists is closing hotels, and flight cancellations.
