... of headstones for hundreds of meters. Back into Ypres for the nightly Last Post ceremony. 8pm every night for 90 years the locals have conducted this service. We arrive just before 7 and get front row positions. About 2000 people at this service tonight. An amazingly moving ceremony. Back to hotel at 9.30, out for a quick dinner and back to our hotel for bed. We are off to Pozieres tomorrow for 4 days. Unsure of wifi access there so you may not hear from us for a few ...

After a big day of driving and a ...

Later in the day we decided we wanted to deviate off the guided route to find Polygon Wood Cemetery that both Jen and Trina had spoken so highly of. As we had no road map to follow we followed our nose and I was thrilled to eventually find this special place. Both cemeteries in this location were particularly beautiful and we were so pleased to be ...

... Besides an old cathedral there was nothing in this town either. By the time we walked up and down the "rambler" and had an early dinner it was finally time to check in. We rocked up to this 1376 Chateau. It was pretty amazing and to think such an old building stood right before us I only hoped it would stay standing for an extra night. We walked up to the front door and there waiting to greet us was a French lady who I might add spoke absolutely no English! This ...
