No matter where you drive, you always see wind turbines. Sometimes a few, sometimes fields or rows of them. As we drive towards these scattered locations, notice the fields have drying corn, others sprouts of green or some obscure green crop. Piled ready for collection are gigantic heaps of sugar beet and potatoes, enormous haystacks, even though there's limited livestock seen, and farmers busy ploughing, cutting, gathering.

We had a wonderful Edinburgh experience staying in an A Georgian House. Kate chose well. Caught the 9.30am East Line train at Waverley Station to King Cross Station in London. Met Justine and Sandra there. They were in carriage C and we were in carriage B. It took 4hrs and 20 mins. Den and I played rummy and also a scrabble training game on the Ipad. Kate was ...

... for dinner which was very enjoyable and filling. Kevin had an interesting wild berry beer with his meal, very sweet. We wandered back to our lodgings the day still light at 9pm and retired for the night, through which we slept until 9:00am - oops!

Worst still our life line has gone, the Internet is not working on the mobile and France, being France, now has two consecutive public holidays so we cannot get it fixed before leaving Lille
