I'm writing to you from the comfort of a rather empty second class train carriage travelling from Budapest, Hungary to Brasov, Romania. It's a little warm in here, but its raining outside, so once we get moving again it will cool down. Bridge has taken up residence at a set of four chairs behind us, and seems to need to test all four chairs and the table between them to find a comfortable position. I'm writing this and trying the hot shoe shuffle at each stop to ...

Unfortunately my train from Suceuva is late- surprising I know and I arrive late into the evening. I already have prebooked transporation onward at 6 am so I have little time to explore. Plus after 14+ hours on a train with no fan or AC in over 40 degree heat ...

The five hour journey cost seven euro. That's kind of ridiculous, though no more ridiculous than the 90 euro cent gourmet pancakes we had during the layover. Again, I kind of feel guilty for spending so little.

... then on. Our first day we wandered around the city centre, which is largely under renovation. The parts that we could see were gorgeous - brightly coloured buildings and big squares, and vibrant churches. There are also a ton of nice parks in the city! We visited the Timisoara brewery and tried some of their beer, which was really great. That night, it was the birthday of the owner of ...
