... which was tough going in places but enjoyable. Fingers were getting really cold in my new gloves and I should have brought the mitts I wore in Canada the other year with inners. Ho hum.

Today we went to Keystone a ski field about half the distance of yesterday's drive from Breckenridge to Vail, so we thought we would do it without the Garmin. Of course the driver, who will remain nameless, still managed to take the opposite turn as recommended by the human sat nav (me) so we had get the real sat nav out to confirm the human sat nav's directions!

... the wrong direction along Route 70 and had to turn around at the first junction. The lady kept telling us to turn right at a non existent roundabout.
Anyway the weather was pretty awful with sleet and a lot of spray from other motorists - but we felt safe in our very expensive hire car SUV 4WD Jeep! Couldn't see much scenery but I would imagine it would be very picturesque in good weather. No radio stations to pick up on the radio and with no bluetooth couldn't ...

Had a much better sleep last night, no waking up with a headache at 3am, so I must be getting acclimatised. So was looking forward to a good day on the slopes.
Looked out the window to find what looked like whiteout conditions. 5cm of powder had fallen overnight and it was still snowing. Bit disappointing as today was to be our day for using the GoPro in real conditions. But I guess at least we had powder to ski in! Anyway decided ...

After lunch we went over to Peak 10 (marked as all black runs) to check out that area. I have to say that most of the single black runs would probably be blue in Canada except for when they are very moguly (is that a word?)
Got back to the apartment to find the maid had not been as she knocked on the door 15 mins later - we turned her away after securing more shampoo and coffee.
