... I found myself with the vomits yet again....fortunately though there were no lions, elephants or Ugandans with shot guns in sight this time! Waking still feeling nauseated and all round **** to a Japanese breakfast of more miso soup and a whole fish looking back at me was not a highlight. In Japan as they are always so polite and respectful, it was rude to not eat what was in front of me, despite every cell wanting to vomit all over the googley eyed slimy fish. Pito said I ...

... spectacular views of the hillside, river and huge boulders below...think Puffing Billy on steroids! An awesome experience! As dusk fell we headed to a quaint riverside town to witness cormorant fishing. Birds on leashes, diving for fish from ancient looking boats. The fishermen keep the large fish while the birds get the rest. Sake on the banks of the river, in the rain, with paper lanterns swaying in the breeze completed our day. This was the longest. Home after ...

Took the early morning train from Hiroshima to Onomichi to start my 70km cycling trip to Imbari. Was looking forward to the trip. This trip reminds me of the cycling through Vancouver islands. Island hopping. It is very easy to go from one place to the next. All routes are well ...

... so I just walked around for a bit and down in the valley there was a big empty lawn with wooden numbered signs pegged into the ground. That had to be for tents. Either way I didn't care. I went down there and 10min later Gelert Solo stood proud at spot number 15, under a starlit sky. The sun was nowhere to be seen. I crawled inside the tent and pretty much passed out. I had planned to eat a tuna and avocado salad type of thing for dinner but I didn't move a limb until 6am ...

A schmap & an app (The last log from Shikoku)

... the people of Imabari never seen a ridiculous western tantrum before - well then they have now.. I probably made up a few hundred new swear words mixing English/Swedish/Polish/and even some Japanese.. Ha! Map Schmap! Absolutely useless.. But the hotel totally made up for putting out the wrong road and route numbers on the map. However it was another Shikoku test me thinks. Life likes to put these little trials at my feet and if I pass then ...
