    ... carrots, onions, is slow cooked in a large dish topped with a high lid, and cooked in hot ashes. It was pretty yummy, and very filling. We were greeted with grappa: flavoured with plum, walnut, herbs, and some local figs dried with bay leaves. There was red and white wine and bread before the stew arrived.

    ... as hell gave it a crack. After a pretty normal pre-drinks, we all headed to Club deep (which is a cave dug into the side of the cliff, as it used to be a WWII weapons depot).
